the4Cs currently works with refugees, asylum seekers and other ‘hard to reach’ communities in North East England and currently comprises of committee members from different communities, backgrounds and areas of expertise.
Currently, we are based at Changing Lives in Newcastle and our main project is 'organic growing' where we empower participants with 100% organic vegetable growing methods. We are also interested and starting to practice Permaculture Principles at our garden site.
We are a proud grant receiver of Make Every Contact Count - a Gateshead Council initiative which aims to give people and organisations the skills and training they need to engage more effectively with the people they meet. Visit our Get Involved link to learn more about MECC and how you can get involved.
the4Cs is proud to have established the Gateshead City of Sanctuary - a movement of hospitality which provides a safe and welcoming culture for people seeking asylum in Gateshead.
the4Cs is voluntarily managed by the Project Coordinator and Project Leaders, who are guided by Trustees who are professionals in different areas of expertise including International Development , Health and Safety, Local Community Projects and Research.
